Mens vs Women's suspenders
We're often asked what's the difference between men's and women’s suspenders. The answer: not much. But in general, most men’s suspenders are made with function in mind, while women’s suspenders are designed solely as a fashion accessory. This changes some of the structure, but not in a way that is very noticeable for most people.
Women’s suspenders tend to have narrower straps than men’s. This is again, because women’s suspenders are considered more for their fashionable look rather than serving the function of keeping trousers in place. This is because women’s dress pants are tailored to curve at the waist, while men’s are straight through the hip and therefore need the assistance of a belt or braces to stay at the correct rise.
Regardless of these small differences, suspenders make a bold, stylish statement on both men and women. Whether you prefer to wear suspenders for office wear or want to do something a bit edgier for a night out on the town, there are so many different ways that you can wear a pair of braces that you really can’t go wrong with this accessory.
